This is the first means by which clinical users are able to create forms with patient information, thus eliminating the need for plastic cards and pre-printed forms. Using the EOM, clinical users bring up patient information and merge it with electronic forms to print locally. The EOM also limits access to data based upon predefined rules and logs activities and requests for patient information. When forms are designed to display on-screen for form fill, approval routines can be used to authorize (electronically sign) the form and the resulting form can then be e-mailed, printed or stored to disk. Medirex has form fill products for these applications with electronic signature capability.
