The Medirex Distributed Forms Solution is a suite of tools designed to deliver information to your front line people. This solution delivers printer-based benefits with open architecture for any postscript printer. It delivers optimum speed printing and is platform independent. It is not middleware or hardware dependent, and as a result, it increases the efficiency and functionality of laser printers. The robust design delivers capabilities without additional bandwidth and supports virtually any data stream. We recommend its use when network infrastructure cannot easily support additional traffic.
Designer and Mapping Tool
The tool is a full-featured WYSIWYG standalone tool used for creating, developing, managing and deploying forms and records processes. By using "objects" created in a tree-structured environment, file formats such as delimited, fixed record length, ASCII, JDE PDF, SAP RDI, XML, and EDI are parsed into components, allowing for transformation, presentation, and distribution. Anyone with competency in handling PC applications such as Word, Pagemaker, Excel, graphical applications can be trained in two days to design forms. For IDX installations, mapping data and setting up applications requires operating knowledge of the IDX system, menus, user codes and specific reports. Use of our product requires 2 days training depending on applications to be supported. For our Windows NT/2000 applications, mapping data and setting up applications requires systems analyst level personnel.
Smart Router Software
Smart Router will simultaneously and automatically route jobs to any combination of output including a single printer or multiple remote printers, as well as email, fax, and searchable PDF's. It can automatically distribute print jobs to clusters of printers, greatly increasing speed while reducing the network traffic associated with cluster printing applications. Engineered as a high-performance router it can handle large volumes of data while accepting data from multiple output devices and web servers harmoniously as required.
Image Creator and Log
This module adds the capability of simultaneously producing a highly searchable PDF output for delivery via email or for archiving in conjunction with printing and faxing of intelligent forms. The whole process is automatic and requires no user intervention.
Smart Fax
This tool is added to the Smart Router providing fax capability. Fax records can be produced and sent simultaneously to be printed or archived. The process is completely automated requiring no intervention. Any record that cannot be transmitted is printed to ensure communication
Electronic Output Manager (EOM)
The EOM electronically catalogues all forms into a SQL database, eliminating the need to outsource most pre-printed forms. By merging patient data from the database onto forms, the EOM eliminates the need for plastic cards, imprinters and embossers throughout the hospital. It logs all significant transactions between employee and patient data (PHIPA/HIPAA) and provides a valuable backup to the Patient Registration system.
